Reflection On The Palm Beach Music and Entertainment Awards

Well Friday Night they had the 4th annual Palm Beach Music and Entertainment Awards and All I can say is I had the time of my life! The energy in the building was all positive and I think pretty much Everyone that won deserved it! So Shouts out to Genesis marketing for all of the hard work and putting together such a great event! Hus Jones won Best Male Artist, Mr Universe won Peoples Choice Award, Tenfoe & Analog won Best Video for Hangin Downtown, PCC won Best Single with Club Scene and Best Rap Group, DJ Beni Boom Best Club DJ, Baby Low won the best Gentlemen's Club DJ, Killa Kim won the Best Female Artist, 1Hot Best New Male Artist, Makkin for best New Female Artist, Best Female Model Tasha Ford, Best Male Model Darrell Fletcher, Best Male Promoter was a Tie between T Green and General, Weba the Marketing Queen was the Female Promoter of the year. Eric Biddines won the best Crossover Artist, and Pangea Kids won Best Alternative Group, and the best Collaboration went to "Everything On Ice" With G Boi, Joe Boom & Schife, Jashua Sa Ra won Best Poet and If I missed anyone I apologize but shouts out to all of the winners!! I am proud of my city for stepping out in class that night!! Oh yeah I almost forgot Bruce Almighty won the Award for Best Radio DJ so I appreciate everyone who voted for me!! Once again we have a another great example of officers in Palm Peach County Sheriff's department. Let me make it clear that I do not think this story represents all police officers. However I think it is important To hold our police officers more accountable for their actions. I want all of my followers to comment on the story I dug up from the palm beach post. I would love to know how everybody feels about sexual harassment by a police officer.

The Hurricane Grill and Wings in Royal Palm Beach repeatedly allowed a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy to sexually harass waitresses and proposition them to have threesomes, according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued the Hurricane Grill and Wings, 11071 Southern Blvd., owned by Donald Michael Galbraith of Palm City, alleging the restaurant engaged in unlawful employment practices by subjecting employees to a hostile work environment. According to the complaint, starting in April of 2009, deputy Commodore Bradford repeatedly made comments to female waitresses about their breasts when he was a frequent customer at the restaurant. He also asked at least one waitress, identified in the lawsuit as Stacy Sorenson, "when are we gonna bang." The lawsuit alleges that he would call waitresses over to his table and show them sexually explicit photos of himself and his wife. Bradford would then try to get them to have threesomes with him and his wife and follow them around the restaurant with his camera phone trying to take pictures of their breasts, according to allegations in the lawsuit.
Officials with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Bradford, 57, is working as a deputy in the West Boynton Beach District 6 substation. He declined to comment. According to the complaint, Sorenson and other waitresses told managers and Galbraith several times about Bradford's actions, but nothing was ever done to stop the harassment. The federal agency also claims that after the restaurant's managers learned that Sorenson was planning legal action, she was fired in retaliation in March 2010. She could not be reached for comment. Robert Weisberg, regional attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, said civil rights laws require an employer to maintain a safe working environment free of sexual harassment, including preventing harassment of employees by customers. "Management had been made aware, and they didn't take action," Weisberg said. "Management let it happen." The suit seeks back pay and punitive damages for the waitresses though no amounts are specified. Calls to the restaurant were referred to Galbraith, who did not return calls seeking comment. It was unclear if Galbraith had been served with the suit yet, and no attorney for the defense was listed in the complaint. Weisberg said the federal agency only has jurisdiction to sue employers on behalf of employees, not customers. Hurricane Grill and Wings is a franchise chain founded in 1995 in Fort Pierce. Now based in West Palm Beach, the chain has at least 42 locations in seven states and is quickly growing across the country.

Random Update The Truth About Palm Beach County!! From Bruce Almighty

You already know Im an insomniac.. I never sleep and I spend countless hours in front of the computer updating my 3 different websites and working on my next mixtape.. Helping artists find that Producer that can give them that Hit.. Connecting artist to DJs and numerous other activities that take up Bruce Almighties day. So Yes I work hard at what I do.. I dont get much me time and I go out for events when its something relevant to the industry. What I dont understand is what goes thru some of yall minds when you do the things that you do?

Palm Beach County is full of some of the best talent I have ever seen. We have many great Producers, Singers, Rappers, Dancehall Artists, great promoters, Photographers, and Video Directors, Gorgeous Models, A couple great DJs and then you have the great media outlet sources in Palm Beach.. WhozNext.biz, Krank It Up, Turn It Up Now, Crown The South, Get Off Bad, 561 Magazine, Hear It First Radio... and I can continue to go on and on and on about all of the great resources we have here in Palm Beach to Make our city successful...

I often here the term "Crabs in a bucket " when referring to Palm Beach County.  Its like we hate to see the next man or woman succeed. Its almost as if some of yall believe if a Triple J, or a 21 Reese , or a Eric Biddines make it then it hurts your chances of making it. I love this city for its music. Im not even from here but I fell in love with the music scene. When I first moved to Palm Beach County    and Rohan was putting together the First Annual Palm Beach Hip Hop Awards. Ive lived all over the country from Detroit, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennesee Etc... But never have I seen a City filled with so much Talent... and on top of that most of Yall hate on each other like its cool. I do understand the city has alot of History with bloodshed, snitches, and different sections dont get along with different areas and ya da ya da yada.. but if you ever wanna be that person to make it out of Palm Beach then some of yall will need to learn to put your Egos to the side just for a while. Im in my 3rd year of the Palm Beach Underground and Its hard to believe that the talent keeps on coming.. Just scroll thru the archives of the Palm Beach Underground and look at how much music has come out of Palm Beach. Look at the movement. We Should all be proud of this City!! I know this may sound Like A Motivational Speech but its from the heart!! I love my City even the haters!!
