MIXTAPE REVIEW - VANDAM YEAR OF THE BODYSLAM 2 (SON OF A SOLDIER)

Who remembers Year Of The Bodyslam? For alot of us that is when being a fan of Vandam begun. So when I saw the title of this mixtape I was curious. I wondered if Vandam was going back to his roots on this one... Since then Vandam has evolved as an artist. Its like most of us watched him mature. Now he has even captured the attention of legendary producer Scott Storch. So let me do my best to break down this project... Im gonna try to keep it short but I will also include a link from LiveMixtapes so you can listen for yourself.

Intros are important to me.. and this one does not disappoint.. sometimes his flow is a little choppy but if you listen to what hes saying there are some heavy bars there.

Found Me Feat 1 Hot .. For some reason lately I always seem to look for this feature on Vandam projects now... together they always seem to create good music. The Hook is catchy and both MCs drop dope versus " God First Homie Can I get a Witness I was on my knees searching for forgiveness Ni**a Then I found Me" Definately a great song.. so check for it

Far not my favorite track... reminded me of Future... the verses were tight but I could have done without the hook

24K right away the sample grabbed me on this one... "Living In A World Where Its Do Or Die You Say This A Free Country Ni**a You A Lie - I Hit The Weed God Put This Here For You And I Last Year You Was Killin Em But What You Doin Now - I Know God They Say Prayer Heals All Thangs Hard Times Will Make You Cherish All The Small Thangs" this is close to being my favorite track on this mixtape!! The lyrical content is the Vandam I like listening to.. I think I replayed it like 10 times LOL

Passion Feat Robby Goode For a minute now I have been curious about this feature... I've seen them talking about the work they putting together on IG etc... but this is the first track I heard them on together. Definitely a banger and Robby Goode did his thang on it... dont sleep on them.. I hope they drop some more music together.

Long Way Feat Eric Biddines another banger where Vandam reflects on how far he has come in the game. Eric Biddines verse had me rewind it like 5 times tho... Vandam definately chose good features on this project..

Final Thoughts... overall I give this mixtape a 8.5 out of 10 it flowed great, good production, not too many features but the ones on there were chosen wisely. I will definately have this one bangin in the whip for a minute... but once again... check it out for yourself!!

NEW BANGIN LP PAIRADICE FROM PRENNUSS KUTTA OF PROFIT BOYS

I am so blessed to come from a city with such an abundance of talent. For years The Profit Boys have always stayed in touch and kept shooting me music over the years... Yeah its hard to believe that I have been doing this for years now... and even now I dont profess to know what Im doing. I just try to give my honest opinions on the music of my peoples.
So I listened to this project beginning to end and was compelled to bless yall with the music and my personal opinion on what you are about to hear.
The intro song was clever.. great production Pairadice .. the title itself was clever.. Im sure only people who can read good will catch the cleverness of the title but hey Im easy to ammuse these days.. LOL ...
Eulogy  was also a dope song when Kutta lets the world know the struggle is behind him... definately a good song for them hustlas..
Ride On by far is my 2nd favorite song on the LP definitely digging the production and sample...
Losing My Mind Feat B. Stille of Nappy Roots was probably his lyrical strongest and it was an intriguing feature... I skipped Baddest.. just wasnt my cup of Tea.. didnt care for the hook on it... Overall I give it a 8 out of 10... almost a 9... but I will let you judge for yourself.

RICK ROSS -MASTERMIND REVIEW & PREVIEW

Rick Ross Mastermnd Download

Now by now Im sure most of you have listened to Rick Ross's Latest LP MasterMind... So I decided to do a quick review of it with some of the stand out tracks and of course a link for you to go check it out for yourself!
The first thing I wanted to say about this album is that Rozay is still one of the best at choosing production.. as far as instrumentals go.. this one should be Album of the year..
Rich Is Gangsta Produced By.. Black Metaphor is a great intro track where you hear the usual boasing and bravado over a laid back instrumental..
Drug Dealers Dream Produced by Jake One  starts off with a recording of Mr Rozays Bank Account balance... if that isnt motivation I dont know what is... now I love the beat on this... however the lyrics are somewhat predictable... typical Rick Ross shit...but Im still fuckin with it,,,
Now my favorite track on this is Nobody Featuring French Montana on the Chorus..and Produced by Diddy. A Remake of The Notorious B.I.G. Classic Song French Montana did the song justice on the Hook and I think this is Rick Ross at his lyrical best.... Quotable Lyrics... Second Verse "Im From where the streets Test You ..niggaz mix Business and Pleasure... Where The Cocaine Measure..The Narcotics Is Our Product ... The by Product You walk up on me I cock It.. "  Now Diddy definately took this track to another level being the ultimate hype man...
Mafia Music III  Feat Sizzla and Mavado was Produced by Bink was another one of those songs I kept on repeat all weekend... It has the feel of one of those dancehall mixtape tracks straight outta Jamrock!! I love the production and the features where genius..
In Vein Feat The Weekend was dope but I kinda felt like it was a little overhyped... maybe I will like it more after I listen to it a little more.
Now Blk & Wht Produced by D Rich was the song with the contoversial bars about Traevon Martin.. Somehow this became one of my favorite tracks on there... and I honestly believe the lyrics about Traevon were a little bit misconstrued.... however let me allow yall be the judge.. Link Credits go to Album Jamz

Mixtape Review of Fort Lauderdale Artist Mowet " I Am Music"

First of all let me start off with the introduction of this South Florida Born & Bred Artist that goes by the name of Mowet! He raps, he sings, he produces!  So once I uploaded I Am Music into my I Tunes and started listening I can see why the internet buzz around Mowet is growing so Rapidly!! The Production is Crisp and Mowet has a great delivery!  DJ Ghost was a professional and did a good job of letting Mowet get his shine! I hate when DJs Overdue it with the drops and self promo!
So let me break down a couple of my favorite tracks for you and tell you what I like and dont like about this mixtape!!
Rest Of My Life Feat Fella - Now The First Song on this captured my attention with some great production and the hook was hott!! Now The only downfall of this song is the Feature from Fella.. I didnt really care for his verse. But I can still vibe to this song regardless.. definately a banger!!
Stay Fly is a hot beat Mowet teams up with Billy Blue and Fella for this Florida Banger!  The Hook is a little repetitive but it works! I can see this being great to play in the car!!
Show Off Probably one of my favorite songs on the Mixtape! A feel good song!
So Fat Ft Fella and Produced by Thunda Tracks is one of those songs I didnt like at first. However the hook had me noddin my head involuntarily!!
Feeling so Right Produced by Mowet himself is proof that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the RNB market!
Die 4 U another track Produced by Mowet is probably my least favorite song. I kinda liked the production but I guess it felt a little too 80s for my taste.
Overall I give this mixtape a 7.5 out of 10. Its defiately one of those mixtapes that all hip hop & R&B fans will enjoy!! So make sure you download it! If you are looking to get more music from Mowet email Dj Ghost at djghostmixtapes2gmail.com

Rick Ross "Teflon Don" Album Review

Ok So I know that Rick Ross is not everyones favorite rapper.. alot of times we take the media bullshit that comes along alot in the hip hop industry and dislike an artist because of what 50 cent says..... Truth be told I think we need to realize this is entertainment. These rappers are paid to entertain us.. thats it. So Im still a Rick Ross fan...I know alot of bloggers hate Rick Ross for the "Officer Ricky" shit but if you take a look at the music and take away all of the extra shit that has nothing to do with the music at all.. Rick Ross is one of the most consistant rappers out there Musically. Dont be sheep that just listens to whateer you see on youtube or world star.. all of the 50 cent and Rick Ross shit is just extra shit that has nothing to do with music! I think he's one of the best out right now! Now Teflon Don recently leaked and I am gonna break it down song by song and tell you why you should or Shouldnt purchase this album.

Lets start with "Im Not A Star" Produced by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League out of ten I will give this track a 8... I love the beat and Rick as always delivers incredible lyrics. The hook wasnt my favorite but its ok... a good Album filler.. Now of course "Free Mason" Ft Jay Z is the track that everyone is talking about right now. All I can say about that song is Damnnnn Everytime Rick Ross and John Legend touch a song together something amazing happens. Rick Ross and Jay Z both murdered it as well.. By far my favorite song on the Album. Now my Second favorite song is "Aston Martin Music" Ft Chrissette Michelle and Drake.. I love the hook, Drake did his thang on it as well. and of course it was produced by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. LEAGUE. I did notice that Rick Ross always find some of the best production that you could find and creates great music.. good job with the budget Ricky Rozay!! Now My least favorite song on there is probably "Tears of Joy" Ft Cee LO Produced by No I.D. I didnt like the beat.. Didnt care for the hook really but Shrug hey thats one song that I didnt like and probably the only one that I didnt like. I definately think you should purchase this on the 20th!! Real Talk!!

Bruce Gives This a 8.5 out of 10

Jit James Gorilla Dope "Mixtape Review"

Ok so I know that I posted this mixtape some time back, and if your wondering why I am doing this review now. Its simple. I felt like it. Shrug.

Jit James in one of the newest up and coming artist in Palm Beach County who had a huge Video on WSHH. "Wake Up" Which is one of y favorite videos out of Palm Beach. He cant really be described as your typical Dope Boy Trap Rappers. Catchy hooks clever wordplay and metaphors keep me listening thru the entire cd! Hosted by DJ Chevy I Present "Gorilla Dope"

Now the first song to really catch my attention was track 3. The titile song "Gorilla Dope" Produced by Schife the beat is sure to beat your trunk up! Jit James raps about having the best dope in the county! The Next Song "This Life" produced by B.C. is one of my favorites on the mixtape! Jit James shows us why his life isnt as easy as you may think. Now there is one song on there that I didnt care for and that was "Get U Rite" Jit James did his thang on the verses but the hook just didnt fit. the only song that made me wanna skip it so far....but as I go on..."Guap" ft the late Black Sam is another song that had me bouncin! Jit James and Black Sam rap over the Track produced by Poppie Beatz about how they gettin Guap but the rest of em starvin. Now the lead single "Wake Up" Produced by Schife is probably the biggest song on the cd! Catchy Hook, Great Beat, Dope Lyric...."My City Love A Nigga but they still will jack Couldnt seen could be hit so I still be Strapped" my favorite line on the whole mixtape! Just because if you live in Palm Beach you know what he means! Another one of my favorite sons on there is "How To Get Money" Ft Gorilla Goon Which I think can be a big club hit if pushed right! Over all i give this mixtape a 8! I think it could be higher but word on the street is Jit James is back in the lab getting ready to bring us some more heat for the summer so Stay tuned! Shouts to Low Key Ent.!!

Eric Biddines "FLAlien Planet Coffeebean" The Album Review

Ok I personally have been anticipating this Album for a minute. I have been a fan since I first listened to The Coffee Shop Mixtape a few years ago! So the first thing I wanted to point out was the cover. Eric B. has always been known for his creativity and His cover stands out to me.
All of the Production is By Eric Biddines and R Keyz with the Help of Somong & J Sharp on one song. So it does have a pretty consistent sound from beginning to end without sounding too monotonous. I also noticed Eric Biddines rarely swears in his music. I like that!
The First Track "Out The Box" Produced by Eric is a pretty good intro song. If it would have been anywhere else on the Album I probably would have skipped it tho.
The Second Track L.O.L. is jus another feel good song. I wasn't a huge fan of the beat but the song did grow on me. Eric Managed to get a real L.O.L. out of me when I listened to the Hook. The Next Song "Walkin" Well we all have seen the video... if you havent Look for it in the Videos category! its one of my favorites! "Not Now" is what I think is a tribute to his wife. Pretty good song. One of the first features that I noticed was "They Figure I Live" Ft G-Boi and Triple J a song about people having the misconception that well known rappers are rich and dont go thru the same struggles that we all go thru. I was a little curious about how that combination of talent would turn out but I must admit the song is a banger! Triple & G Boi both delivered solid verses. My Least Favorite song on the album is Filter. Some of the effects on the mixdown was distracting me from the song itself. "Eye" feat 2 Slabz & Phatboi is my Favorite song on the album! All I can say is I hope for a 2 Slabz reunion album. "This Song Is Not On This CD" Ft Bliz Balboa oddly titled enough is another feel good banger that Im sure I will play alot until whoever is around me will get tired of. Im not sure who Bliz Balboa is but he ripped his verse over one of my favorite beats on the Album. Over All I give FLAlien Planet Coffeebean a 8.5 out of 10 Awesome Production throughout alot of feel good music! So Shouts to Eric Biddines, R Keys, and everyone else that had a hand in this project!

Eric B Da Coffee Shop Review

OK so my first few reviews have been favorable. This Next CD is going to make me feel like I like all of Palm Beach Music which isn't the case!! Eric B is in a completely different field from most of our typical Palm Beach Artists. The instant comparison to Outkast is obvious however Eric B definitely shows us that the comparisons are only the similar voice and being good at creativity. The first song I listened to was "Stalkin" Produced By "Keys". The Title right away sparked my curiosity and I was not disappointed. Eric B flexes his story telling abilities on "Stalkin" I actually listened to Every Song on the CD in one sitting. "No Discussion" is a great tribute to all the people that has helped him out along the way!! Inflatable Woman Had me on the floor laughin. This Cd has a little somethin for everyone!! He Offers his Entire CD as a Free Download on Reverb Nation

Suave Smooth!! The Florida N*gga review!!

Suave Smooth is one of the most respected names in Palm Beach County Music. Its really hard to discuss Local artists without mentioning the most recognizable voice in the 56ace!!
The Mixtape Hosted by DJ Smallz has been out for a few months now and it was well worth the purpose! This CD had me ridin around crunk in the intrepid!! Definately one of Palm Beachs highlights this year. Make it Happen feat 8Ball & MJG was my fav track with Play Play feat T Pain running a close 2nd! It was actually kinda hard to pick my fav track off here!!
Download it for yourself and you be the judge!!
