Ok In recent weeks I had the Pleasure of Meeting K.O. A MC from Palm Beach that I knew very little about. I was given a few of his songs to listen to and after listening a couple times I gotta admit I was a lil impressed. With a sharp choppy delivery K.O. Freestyles thru most of the tracks I was given. 48 Barz had me hooked with a cocky flow and decent wordplay. The Only shortcoming that I see is I really wanted to hear a song with a great hook. His verses are awesome but as for hooks I kept waiting for something that could measure up to the supurb Lyricism I got on most if not all of K.O.s Tracks. However K.O. does claim to be a battle Rapper and on that note he plays his position better than I expected.....
Born in Flint Michigan on September 3rd, 1988, Cary Davis a.k.a. KO moved to Florida residing in Boynton Beach at the age of 6. It was there that he was introduced to many of the factors in his life that made him what he is today. After enduring a period of struggle and hard times on and off as a child, the now Palm Beach veteran relocated to his current domain, Greenacres in mid year 2000. Telling stories about his life and astonishing on-lookers through the form of rap began at age 14. The versatile, multi-talented artist KO started actually making a name (actually got his name) for himself by battling opposition around his high school or wherever there was any competition. Eventually his unique skill would land him on local radio station X103.2’s “local love” segment, BET’s “Spit Your Game” on Rap City, stages of local clubs, and into the speakers of his growing fan base. Solo artist KO continues to take the game by storm at age 19 with his lyrical ability and newly found talent for making head-knocking and heart touching beats under his self-made “Cut Throat Productions.” As a REAL artist with a catchy style of his own, he has connected with and gained respect from many local artists and other big names in the business, growing and getting better as he goes on. Long story short, the scary thing for everyone anticipating failure, he’s just getting started…….
Already on the streets with his highly successful debut mixtape, “The Brain and The Beast,” KO is anticipated to drop his second collection sometime late 2008. Expect to hear what most of those who have previously heard him expect to hear, the unexpected.
